According to reports, Netanyahu had refused to attend the conference under the pretext of a religious holiday. On the other hand, the Egyptian government initially invited Masoud Pezeshkian to participate in the Sharm el-Sheik conference. Pezeshkian rejected this invitation, and the Egyptian government, this time, invited Abbas Araghchi to attend the conference. But Abbas Araghchi also refused this invitation.
You see that the Israeli government accounts that criticize the mullahs' regime on various issues do not react to the mullahs' regime's non-participation in the Sharm el-Sheik peace conference.
Why?
Because the mullahs' regime is led by Israel and is its slave. Khomeini was also a puppet of Israel.
The mullahs' regime plays the role of the enemy of Israel at the behest of the Israeli government, to achieve the political goals of the Israeli government, to help the Israeli occupation, and to deceive public opinion. The mullahs' regime is the main opponent of the two-state solution after the Israeli government.

On the other hand, Palestinian officials themselves, such as Mahmoud Abbas, have repeatedly criticized the policies of the mullahs’ regime and called for an end to the mullahs’ interference in Palestinian affairs.
Osama al-Ali, the former Palestinian ambassador to India, has clearly said to the mullahs’ regime, "You have destroyed us, get rid of us. We don’t need you."
This is not the first time that the mullahs' regime has refused to participate in such meetings. In 2024, Masoud Pezeshkian declined an invitation to attend the Arab and Islamic Summit in Riyadh, citing being busy. But, the main reason for rejecting the invitation was the discussion about the Gaza war and the summit's position on the two-state solution.
The mullahs' regime was absent from this meeting, even though, since the establishment of the regime, billions of dollars of the Iranian people's money have been spent in various forms at the behest of Israel in the name of defending Palestine. These policies dictated to the mullahs' regime are not only used to aid the Israeli occupation but also to impoverish and isolate the Iranian people.
You see that the mullah regime's media is citing the absence of a representative from Palestine as the reason for not participating in this meeting, while Mahmoud Abbas was present at this meeting.
In fact, the mullah regime's representative for the Palestinians is the Israeli government and Netanyahu, and it is Netanyahu who told the mullah regime that you have no right to participate in this meeting. In this way, the Israeli government can continue the war under various pretexts and prevent peace and the formation of a Palestinian state. The people of Iran are paying the price for all these policies.
