The Iranian people clearly demonstrated their opposition to the policies of the mullahs' regime and the current conditions in Iran, including the compulsory hijab, with the Mahsa movement, in which hundreds of protesters were killed or suppressed without cause and in a brutal manner. However, today, despite the clear message from the majority of the Iranian people, the regime has passed a new hijab law that aims to intensify the repression of the Iranian people.
Saudi Arabia is not a model country in terms of human rights, but comparing the conditions in Iran and Saudi Arabia, the cradle of Islam, shows that in the mullahs' regime, religion is a political tool against Iran and Iranians. How can the restrictions and distance between Iranian society and neighboring Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia be justified?
In a situation where the mullahs' regime has approved the new hijab law by using religion as a tool, the Riyadh season has been going on in Saudi Arabia for several months. When we look at the Riyadh season in Saudi Arabia, the cradle of Islam, the question arises as to what is the basis for the restrictions and suppression of the Iranian people and society that are carried out in the name of Islamic laws. Compulsory hijab did not exist in Iran before the revolution, and after the revolution, it was rejected by Iranian women from the very beginning of Khomeini's rise to power. However, in Saudi Arabia, where hijab existed, compulsory hijab was officially abolished in September 2019 throughout the country except for Mecca and Medina. According to today's reports, the hijab is mandatory only in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
The freedom of hijab in Saudi Arabia shows the natural social and political development of this country. Whereas in Iran, the political process has been unnatural. If Khomeini had not launched the Iran-Iraq war to secure the interests of Israel and the Zionists, today there would be neither this mullahs' regime nor compulsory hijab. Furthermore, no one can claim that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s rise to power and the creation of the Guidance Patrol after Mohammad Khatami's presidency was a natural political process in the mullahs’ regime. Or someone can say that the legalization of crime, theft, and further suppression of the Iranian people in the name of the new hijab law today is the result of political growth after 45 years in this regime. These unnatural signs show the non-independent and anti-national nature of the mullahs’ regime.
The Riyadh Season Festival, within the framework of Vision 2030, aims to boost tourism and economic development and has been held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, for approximately five months in the fall and winter since 2019, and continues until early spring. Riyadh aims to be among the top 10 cities in the world by 2030. The presence of famous female singers at this year's festival was met with many reactions. It was noteworthy that both some officials of the mullahs' regime and some Israeli figures reacted negatively to the presence of female singers at this festival.
Ali Akbar Raefipour reacted to the fashion show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a post with a blurred image in Arabic on the X, and by naming several sheiks, he protested the presence of women without a hijab at this event in Saudi Arabia, writing, "These strange appearances in the land of revelation have nothing to do with our Islam."
On the other hand, Edy Cohen, an Israeli journalist of Lebanese origin and resident in Israel, reacted similarly to the presence of female singers at the festival, considering it a desecration and writing that if such a ceremony were held in Israel, you would see the hardline Haredis stopping Jennifer Lopez from desecrating their holy lands.
Israel and the Zionists encourage extremist Islam and radical groups in the Middle East to exploit, destroy, and plunder countries and use it as a political tool to exploit Western countries. Iran is one of these countries with the establishment of the mullahs' regime. The changes in the countries of the Middle East and the expansion of governments or extremist Islamic groups in recent decades are directly related to the establishment of the Israeli state in the Middle East. The first major spark of this was set off in the Middle East with Khomeini, who was a puppet of Israel and the Zionists.
The two main instrumentalizations of this regime are the use of religion and hostility towards Israel. People like Raefipour, who is a mullah, like other officials of the regime, are the implementers of these two instrumentalizations in Iranian society. On the one hand, they justify and impose repression, de-civilization, restrictions, and destruction of Iranian society by using religion as a tool, and on the other hand, they give the strongest slogans against Israel or play the role of supporters of Palestine and Lebanon.
Israel and the Zionists have placed the mullahs at the top of power in Iran and guide and support them to exploit and destroy Iran and Iranians. The policies of this regime have been dictated and the anti-Israeli slogans of the regime officials are also at the behest of Israel and in order to achieve their strategic goals. The hijab has also been dictated to this regime from the very beginning and it is obliged to implement it. The elimination of mullahs like Mahmoud Taleghani who were against the hijab shows this fact.
Israel and Netanyahu have further radicalized the mullahs' regime since Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's presidency. And by further dominating this regime, they have strengthened these two instrumentalizations of the regime against Iran and the Iranian people for their own goals. On the one hand, we can see the strengthening of religious institutions and plainclothes men, the promotion and innovation of religious ceremonies, and the creation of the guidance patrol, and on the other hand, the strengthening of anti-Israeli slogans. Bernard Arnault with Carrefour under the name Hyperstar, has been their partner since Ahmadinejad's presidency. Israel and the Zionists are the cause of the restrictions on Iranians even outside of Iran, and this regime is their tool for applying these restrictions in Iran.
When we look at the mullahs’ regime’s laws, such as the compulsory hijab, we see that these laws affect all aspects of Iranian life and are a tool for repression, de-civilization, encouragement of emigration, humiliation, and destruction of Iranians and Iranian society.
The process of suppressing and destroying Iranian society and de-civilizing society is being implemented by tools of religion and destructive policies. The mullahs' regime systematically restricts, belittles, ignores, or even intentionally destroys cultural and historical symbols. However, the regime does not have any benefit from these policies. How can it be justified that Iranian dancing with local costumes and Iranian music without the obligatory hijab is permitted in Saudi Arabia, the cradle of Islam, but is suppressed in Iran in the name of Islamic laws, and Iranians are forced to travel to neighboring countries to freely see their own country's ceremonies?
Saudi Arabia is helping the tourism industry and economic development of Saudi Arabia by taking inspiration from Iranian symbols and holding Iranian ceremonies in Saudi Arabia without imposing a compulsory hijab. In Iran, the tourism industry has been destroyed for years, Iranian and historical symbols are being destroyed either through negligence or intentionally, and the new hijab law, with the threat of arrest and expulsion of tourists in case of violation of compulsory hijab, is another blow to the tourism industry and the Iranian economy. In Saudi Arabia, the statue of Homa is being built to attract tourism, but in Iran, for years, access to the tomb of Cyrus and Persepolis has been prohibited on Cyrus the Great Day, which should be one of the most profitable days in the tourism industry.
Knowing behind the scenes and the nature of this regime is very important for political change, because religion is a political tool in this regime, and examining religious issues regarding the behavior of this regime is a completely wrong and misguided path.
